Why subscribe?

Hello. My name is Syd Polk. I am aging computer programmer, part-time professional musician, and amateur baseball analyst, among many other hobbies. This newsletter is part biography, part stories, and part commentary about things that interest me, namely, the tech industry, jazz/classical/Broadway music, baseball, and livability of various places, plus random miscellaneous musings. The goal of this newsletter is to put enough together to publish a book, but I may or may not ever get there. It is an offshoot to my blog about trying to get hired in the tech sector, https://recruitedby.tech. That blog is written anonymously, so I guess this is my official coming out where I claim responsibility. Whatever.

However, I am happy to take donations. If you like what you are reading, and feel like contributing something, I would appreciate it. You can subscribe if you like, or you can also just contribute outright with a one time contribution.
